Special Programs
Academic excellence is an expectation for all students at Page High. The Scholars Program at Page is designed to meet the academic needs of those students who desire to pursue a rigorous yet personally rewarding course of study. The purpose of the program, exclusive to Page High School, is to offer optimum opportunity for the student to achieve the best education possible at the high school level.

The Page High School Senior Project is modeled after the Southern Regional Education Board’s High Schools That Work Program’s Senior Project.  The goal of this project is to give students an opportunity to combine their knowledge and skills to show what they have learned in 12 years of education. The Senior Project provides an opportunity for a student to choose an area of interest and need, conduct research, hone communication skills, give back to the community, demonstrate problem-solving, decision making, and independent learning skills.  The project contributes to a strong senior year of challenging courses and practical experiences that prepare students for the next step in work and further education.

The PHS Senior Project involves several steps. First, the student determines an area of interest and need, makes necessary contacts, and serves the community in the chosen area. Second, the student prepares a portfolio consisting of a brag sheet, a resume, and three letters of recommendation written about the student and one letter the student writes about a peer.   Third, the student makes a formal presentation to a panel composed of educators and/or community members who in turn, ask questions about the service, process, and find out what the student learned during the project.  Students are not alone in this process.  Each student meets periodically with a faculty advisor; in addition, the student may work with a mentor from the community as part of their service product.

Library/Media Center
Media Center is open from 7:15 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. each school day. The school Web Page includes information about the media center and instructional pages for finding, evaluating and documenting resources.

Our staff includes three professional counselors and a registrar. Our counseling, guidance area also includes a Career Center that provides students with an opportunity to investigate career choices. A complete program of studies is available on our school WebPage.

W.I.N. program
The W.I.N. (What’s Important Now) program is designed to encourage and help each freshman connect to at least one adult with focuses on the following three important components:  1. Academic Growth, 2. Personal Growth, and, 3. Career Awareness. W.I.N. is built on a solid foundation in which a T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Accomplishes More) of twelve advisors will closely monitor the progress of these areas over your child’s high school tenure. The W.I.N. T.E.A.M. embraces the concept that this experience is about “progress, not perfection”- always striving to grow and to finish well. We also adopt the fact that the most important aspect of placing each student on a positive path is relationship building.  Students will care about how much we know when they realize how much we care. W.I.N. will meet daily during sixth period (lunch/advisee period) and will include intramurals and guest speakers to enrich the mind/body concept and add to the quality of your child’s overall education.
