Exploring our world continues outside the
walls of our school and our grounds. Our technology lab allows our students to be connected to the worldwide web. There are
twenty-five computers in the
lab, as well as an instructor computer, where our students spend time
weekly. Teachers use the lab for word processing, internet projects and
research, educational games, and programs like Little Planet, Kidspiration, KidPix,
Type to Learn, TimeLinerPublisher, Power Point, Hyperstudio and many other
programs. The computer lab is equipped with a wall-mounted SmartBoard for
hands-on technology lessons.
We have 2 laptop carts located in our library.
Each cart houses completely wireless Internet accessible laptops. Teachers may check
out the carts of laptops and bring the laptop computers to their classrooms for
use.
We are finding new ways to utilize the digital cameras
that were purchased for each grade level. A plan is being discussed which will evaluate our current lab and
determine what steps need to be taken in order to keep our lab up to scale with
the latest technology.
