For that biome unit, here's an idea that integrates English, technology, and information skills (media center) with science. In this project, students work as magazine reporters to produce a print or multimedia magazine about rain forests (or another biome!). Student-reporters begin by looking at examples of science magazines for children, in order to learn about their different sections and types of writing, and then do the research necessary to create their own publication. |
