SCHOOL WIDE POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT
Be Responsible
Be Respectful
Be Safe
Please take time to discuss these
rules with your child and ask him/her to explain to you what they mean in a
school setting. All three rules will be taught and discussed in class, and
we want every child to "get caught" following the rules.
The teachers and staff at Fairview
Elementary School
strive to provide classroom environments and experiences
where all children feel safe and have a positive learning environment.
Our school focuses on character education,
appropriate behavior and the elimination of bullying. We support
these goals in everything we do within our school community. we expect all
of our students to follow the school rules so that teachers can teach and
students can learn.

your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions - we can't always control what

No BULLYING!!
By law, every student has the
right to learn in an environment free from bullying. We are dedicated to
this and are recognized as a No Bullying school. Therefore, our staff and
students are trained in what to do when bullying takes place.
1. Say NO
2. Go (away from the "bully".)
3. Tell an adult
Adults in our school know how to handle bullying. It is not tolerated.
Please notify you child's teacher or the counselor if you are aware of or have a
concern about bullying. We want our school to be a safe and happy place for learning.
The Bullying Pledge
Here in our school,
No bullying for us.
No hurting for us.
No unfairness for us.
No bullying for us,
No, not in our school.
DeBug
Have you ever wondered what to do when someone is bugging you?
The answer is simple. DeBug.
DeBug is a 5-step plan to help students deal with others in a positive way.
The steps are:
-
Ignore what you can.
-
Walk away.
-
Say in a friendly voice,
"Please stop."
-
Say in a firm voice, "Stop it."
-
Get help from an adult.
