Woodland Middle School’s red cast of “Choices Count” performed at Fairview Elementary School this past Friday.  “Choices Count” is a musical featuring the six pillars of good character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship.   The student cast is made up of eighth grade singers, dancers, actors, and actresses.  These students auditioned for the various solos and dances in the show.   All songs, lines, blocking, and choreography were memorized by the cast.  There are actually two casts of “Choices Count” this year, which enables Woodland to reach out to twelve schools rather than the usual six shows.  The casts are named “red cast” and “black cast” in honor of the school colors.

This is the fourth year for Woodland’s outreach program.  Woodland has performed for fifteen schools and over 7,000 students over the past four years.  Margie Wineman-Chaney is the director.
