Fourth Grade students celebrated Pi Day (3.14) on March 14, 2008. The Pi Ball was complete with costumes, the red carpet, a king , a queen, awards, pie, and many other round objects. Students were expected to create a designer outfit that labeled the parts of a circle. They were also expected to bring in an object/food with the parts of a circle labeled. We discussed the various parts of the circle along with the formulas used to get area and circumference. They did an outstanding job!
