Our school day begins
promptly at 8:35 AM and ends with students being dismissed at 3:35 PM.

and Pick-Up Procedures
The
following procedures have been established to:

Adhere
to local traffic laws
Safety
-
Children
should use the crosswalk and sidewalks.
-
Children
should walk in front of your vehicle when crossing into traffic.
-
Children
should not be left unattended outside the building before school.
-
Drive
slowly on school property.
-
All
exit doors will stay locked at all times. The front
doors will be unlocked from 8:25 - 8:35 each morning. Thereafter,
please right the door bell and be prepared to present a photo ID. Gym
door and Hawk Walk doors will open at 8:15 each morning.

By law, smoking is not
allowed on school property.
Buses and Car
Riders
-
Buses
will unload at the gym entrance.
-
Gym
door & Hawk Walk door (4th grade end) will open at 8:15 AM.
All students will go to the gym.
Students eating breakfast will be dismissed to the cafeteria.

A
bell will ring at 8:30 AM and a tardy bell will ring at 8:35
AM
-
No
cars allowed in the bus lane between 8:10 – 8:35 AM.
Car Rider Info
Drop Off Point:
-
8:15
– 8:30 AM Students will be
dropped off from the “Playground Drive” behind the school,
entering from Old Franklin road and traveling west in a single file line.
Door will open at 8:15 AM. Children
should not be left unattended outside the building before school.

Traffic
will enter and turn right onto “Playground Drive” from Old
Franklin Road – left turns that block Old Franklin are a
traffic violation.
-
Students
will unload on “Playground Drive” at the “Hawk Walk Field”
entrance only (main hall 4th grade end).
-
Car
Riders will be released to unload only from the cars waiting between the
corners of the building for safety reasons.
Drive all the way forward to the end of the awning to allow as
many children to unload as possible.
-
Staff
will tell the children when to exit their car and will release cars when
students are safely across “Playground Drive”.
-
Buckle
up!
-
Exit
with the traffic volunteer at the gate and with the crossing guard on
Highway 100.
-
Responsible
students will lock the gates on “Playground Drive” at 8:30 AM.
Any students arriving after that time must enter through the
front door with the parent and be signed in at the office.
Parking
Point:
-
Parents
wishing to enter the building must park in the front parking lot and enter
through the front doors.
-
No
cars allowed in the bus lane between 8:10 – 8:30 AM while buses are
unloading.
Afternoon Pick Up
Car Riders and Bus Riders
-
Gates
will be locked until 3:10 PM.
-
Students
will load on “Playground Drive” at the “Hawk Walk Field” entrance.
-
Traffic
will enter turn right onto “Playground Drive” from Old Franklin Road.
Left turns
that block Old Franklin Road are a traffic violation.
-
When
the gate is opened, cars should proceed slowly and form two lines as they
come around the corner of the building.
-
Car
Riders will be released to load only the cars waiting between the cone areas
for safety reasons. Drive all
the way forward to the front cone to allow as many children to load as
possible.
-
Do not leave your car
unattended. Either stay in your car or stand beside it.
-
Staff
will tell the children when to go to the cars.
-
Buckle
up!
-
Traffic
will merge and exit with the crossing guard on Highway 100.
-
3:10
Buses arrive. No cars are
allowed in the front parking lot while buses are loading.
Cars will be allowed after the buses leave.
Traffic Laws, Safety, and Courtesy
Be safe! Arrive unhurt!

Please
do not block through traffic on Old Franklin Road.

Please
do not block through traffic on Highway 100.

Please
do not block through traffic on “Playground Drive”.

Please
do not block a private driveway.
-
Please
do not break line. Traffic
moves quickly.

Priority
should be given as follows:
First:
Buses in “Main Drive”
Second:
Traffic from “Playground Drive”
Third:
Other Vehicles from “Parking Area Loop”

Without exit guidelines, traffic on Highway 100
and Old Franklin Road become completely blocked.
