This was a two-day meet (Monday & Tuesday).
The field events, 3200, and prelims were held on Monday.
Running finals were held Tuesday.

We won the meet, nearly doubling the score of Ravenwood (2nd place).
We won the district last year also, beating 2nd place Overton by 74 points.
Teams in our AAA district include Franklin, Brentwood, Ravenwood, Independence,
Hillwood, Hillsboro, Hickman County, and Overton.

Highlights:

Trey Hardison

Todd Campbell

Freshman Tyler Hawn has competed in the 1600 four times in his life.
He ran 4:53 in his first race and has set PRs in each of his next three meets.
Tyler ran 4:49.2 finishing in 2nd place.  His splits were 70-75-76-68.

Sophomore Jesse Hewitt was, again, solid in the hurdles running 18.3 (5th) and 44.5 (2nd).

Thomas Sensing was his usual reliable self, winning both the Shot (48'11) and Discus (140'4).

We swept the triple jump, placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (Hardison, Peyton Henry, and Jordan Smallwood).

Our 4x1 team ran 42-something for the third straight meet.

Redbone Sisk ran his first ever 4x2, anchoring the team to victory running a 22.6 split.
He also ran his first lead-off leg in the 4x4 running an uncontested 53.1.

Titus Hardemon was clocked at 10.97 in the 100.
Not bad for someone who is not on the 4x1 team.  His 4x2 split was 22.3.

John Hewitt opted out of the 400 to stay fresh for the Great-Eight at Vanderbilt Thursday.
He was lead-off on the winning 4x1 team and ran his first open 200 of the season.
John's time of 22.3 was outstanding considering the fact that Overton has the tightest curves of any track that we will see.

Johnathon Haynes, the heart of our team, quietly won three gold medals (4x1, 4x2, and 4x4).

Our excellent freshman class continued their great season.

Other talented freshmen, including Jamal Starnes, Jeff Roberts, Dragus Dixon, and Tyler Bradford,
did not get the chance to run due to our wealth of sprinters.
