Wintery weather ... 45 degrees at 3:30 ... dropped to 35 by 7:30

John Hewitt did not run ... viral infection has kept him out for two weeks. He will also miss the next meet
at Madison, Alabama, due to a spring break vacation.

Our freshmen did an outstanding job.

We now have 10 of the 12 freshmen basketball players running track.

Over 50% of our 65-man roster is new to track & field.

Trey Hardison had an outstanding day. He had PRs (triple jump and 100)
and won three events (TJ, LJ, and 4x4).

6'6 Deontrey Sisk ran his first race ever, running 2:13 in the 800.

Brett Henry opened the 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4 in his first track meet ever.
Our 4x1 was impresseive with Henry substituting for Hewitt, running 44.3 with poor handoffs.

Freshman Dragus Dixon ran 11.5 and 24.9 placing in both sprints. He also showed
great toughness by anchoring our 4x4 right after the 200.
This was the first track meet for Dragus.

Thomas Sensing had a PR in the shot, throwing 48'5 uphill.

Freshman Tyler Hawn, another rookie, ran 5:08 in the mile.

Freshmen Michael Young and Taylor Shelton were our top two 400 runners (57.6 and 58.0).
Neither ran middle-school track.

Practice Wednesday and Thursday ... noon.

Next meet ... Friday 3/31 at Bob Jones H.S., Madison, AL
