We placed three guys in each of five field events.
Just think how we would do if we had a pole vault pit
at FHS to practice on ...
Derrian Waters placed in FOUR field events. He
tripled for the first time and jumped an amazing 38'4.
Alec Holler PR'd and won the triple jump, going 40'10.
Trey Hardison high jumped an impressive 6'0. Even
more impressive, he showed that he has 6'4 in him this
year. On many jumps, his hips cleared the bar by a
wide margin, only to nick the bar with his lower legs.
Titus Hardemon will not sprint this week and will
hopefully get his hamstring ready for our Illinois
trip April 30th.
Thomas Sensing won both throws and volunteered to run
the 110HH ... finally a second high hurdler.
93 points in five field events.
Antonio Murry is back after a one-week absence running
2:04 in the 4x8 and 52.5 in the 4x4.
Juan Arboleda ran a season's best 4:48.3 mile.
Kenny Snyder won a medal in the 3200 ... a great
present for his 18th birthday.
Johnathon Hayes was scratched from the 400 to allow
him to run in three relays. He ran in incredible
anchor leg in the 4x2, coming from behind to win.
It will be nice to see the return of 10.8 sprinter
Titus Hardemon (hamstring) and distance standout,
Elliot Brown (calf).
We placed in all 17 events in which we were entered.
We place TWICE in 10 events. TEAM!
Winning all 18 events would score 180 points. WE
SCORED 204 ...
We will compete in several events at the Great Eight
(Vanderbilt) Thursday. We have a JV meet Friday.
We travel to Illinois 10 days from now.
31-0 in Tennessee!
