Well run meet ... only four hours long.

We qualified in all 12 events!!!

We qualified two guys in 7 of the 8 individual events.

Juan Arboleda ran had a monsterous workday.  He ran the 3200, 1600, and 800 ... what an effort!

Trey Hardison (11.0) and John Hewitt (10.9) were 6th and 5th in an incredible sprint field.  The top four sprinters ran 10.6, 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8.

John Hewitt brought his "A-game" again, running 10.9, 21.8, and 50.1.

The efforts of Johnathon Haynes (52.4, 52.5) reflected his outstanding workouts of the last two weeks.

15 personal records.

Congrats to our hard-working distance runners.  Kenny Snider, Ryan Williams, and Elliot Brown all had PRs.

Antonio Murry ... 3 meets ... 4 800s ... 2:08 - 2:06 - 2:05 -2:04

Titus Hardemon anchored two outstanding sprint relays, then ran a 23.4* 200.

Freshman Jesse Hewitt ran a surprising 21.1 first half of the 300 INT ... showing that he is capable of running sub-44.  He still qualified with a 46.5*.

Warm, humid conditions.

We won as a TEAM ...
We only won five events but we placed in 17 of 18 events.
We placed top-3 in all four relays.
We placed TWO guys in 11 of the 14 individual events.

John Hewitt ran an amazing 48.9 for a new meet record.  His 22.1 was good enough for a meet record at most places but former two-time NCAA 100 Meter Champ and Franklin native Mardy Scales ran a 21.4 a few years ago.  John will be featured in the Nashville "City Paper" Friday.

Alec Holler also set a new meet record.  His times continue to improve ... 41.2 - 41.0 - 40.5 and now 40.1.

We had two guys go crazy in the 800.  Juan Arboleda and Antonio Murry ran 2:02.7 and 2:02.8.

Johnathon Haynes filled in for Titus Hardemon and anchored the 4x1 team to a respectable 43.4.  Titus got caught in traffic and missed the race.  Our bus DID NOT SHOW UP and we had to find our own way to the meet.

Shannon Derricks high jumped for the first time and went 5'2, 5'4, 5'6, and 5'8 without a miss, finishing 2nd.

We remain undefeated (20-0) in the state of Tennessee.

Next meet ... at Riverdale (school that beat us in the football state championship) ... 4:00 start.

Next Friday ... Bob Jones Invitational at Madison, Alabama (4:30 start).
