LIBRARY    POLICIES

 

 

  • Books are checked out for a two-week period and may be renewed.  Fines for overdue books are 10 cents per school day after a 4 day grace period. 
     

  • If an item is lost or badly damaged, the replacement cost of the item will be charged plus a $2.00 processing fee.

 

  • No food or drink is allowed in the library.  This includes bottled water.

 

  • A copier is available for student use.  Copies are 10 cents.

 

  • Computers with Internet access are available for student use.  Students must have an Acceptable Use, Media Release, and Internet Safety form on file in order to use computers.  Students must be logged on with their own username and password.  Computers in the library are for educational purposes including research, word processing, or accessing the online card catalog (OPAC).  Computer games, chat rooms and e-bay are not allowed.  Downloading of programs from the Internet or other sources is not allowed.

 

  • Students coming from study hall should have a specific purpose and follow the FHS pass policy.

 

  • Students coming from a PA period need to sign in at the front desk.  Once a student decides to come to the library, they are to remain in the library until the period ends.

 

  • The use of cell phones, iPods, and other electronic devices is prohibited.
