In the Town of Spoon River, the dead have been given one final opportunity to

secrets, heartaches, and regrets; sympathize with their guilt, anger, and
sorrow; mourn with those the dead left behind; wander through the history these
individuals made through their actions.

“ The words spoken are as relevant today as when
they were they were written
almost one hundred years ago .The actors play
multiple characters during the play; each character with a message for the
living.”
One character sums it up best by quoting Alexander Pope:
“Act well your part, there all the honor lies.”
