Seniors will have a twenty minute class meeting on Wednesday, November 18, starting promptly at 12:30 p.m. in the Auditorium on Graduation caps and gowns.

 

 Tickets for the game this Friday are $8.  Please remember that your athletic pass is not valid for any post season games.

 

This year’s Basketball Pep Band is now forming for the upcoming season.  If you play a rhythm section instrument such as guitar, bass, keyboard, or drum kit; have minimal reading skills; and can play rock, jazz,  or funk styles;  contact Mr. Moose to show your interest.  Rehearsals will begin within the next two weeks.

 

We will start pre-selling tickets to the Friday playoff game on Wednesday and will sell thru noon on Friday.  Tickets are $8.00 cash only.

 

The FHS Swim Team kicked off their season last week (an unfortunate loss to Brentwood).  But there’s a lot of season left!   And, if you are interested in joining the team, there are still spots available.    For more information, please stop by room 115 (Mrs. Bechtel) to pick up an information packet. 

 

Franklin Boys and Girls bowling team beat Brentwood yesterday in match play at Franklin Lanes.

Tickets for Spoon River Anthology are available in room 404 for $5.00.  The play runs Thursday Saturday and Sunday November 5,7&8.

 

From STARS:  Students who wish to may donate to the Nashville Rescue Mission this week during the 5th and 6th period lunches. The Nashville Rescue Mission supports programs that assist the needy with housing, medical, substance use recovery and employment

 

The FHS Thespian society will hold their next meeting on Monday, November 9th to discuss plans for the thespian conference and murder mystery party.  All Thespians and apprentices should plan on attending.

 

Attention Franklin Band Fans:  If you have enjoyed the story of Jimmy Gentry in our award winning show An American Life, you can purchase your own commemorative copy of the band’s performance in Indianapolis next weekend.  Purchase a DVD for $20 by contacting the band office at fhsband@comcast.net no later than Thursday, 11/5.  Group rates are only available through this date.

Tuesday, November 3rd, is Franklin Band Night at Zaxby's!

Our local Zaxby's (Hillsboro @ Mack Hatcher) will donate 10% of all sales back to the Franklin Band starting at 5:00pm through 9:00 (closing).  It's a great night to have a family dinner at Zaxby's! 

 

The JV Competition Cheerleaders will be selling Chick-fil-A chicken biscuits starting Tues. Nov. 3rd!

Habitat for Humanity will meet Fri. morning Nov. 6th at 7:00 in the auxiliary gym.  All members are encouraged to attend.

 

 SENIORS:  Marketing students will be taking orders for the long sleeve senior T-shirts with names printed on the back during lunch until November 6th. Only shirts that have been paid for in advance will be ordered, so bring a check made out to FHS for $20 or cash and order your correct size. The shirts will be black with the Power F on the front, Rebels down one arm and Class of 2010 on the back with the names.

 

It is time to order your 2010 REBEL Yearbook. Order  forms were mailed to the home address listed in the FHS records. Extra copies of the form are available in the front office.  The deadline to order is January 18, 2010.
