Have a Happy  and   Safe Summer!

In a May 4, 2009 ceremony held at the State Capitol
with Commissioner of Education Dr. Timothy Webb, and Education Consumers Foundation President J. E. Stone presented Principal Brian Bass an award for being among Tennessee's highest performing middle school principals. Congratulations Mr. Bass!

FMS teachers and students are to be commended as well for this award, which was given to school principals who's students achieved high scores on Tennessee Value Added Achievement System, which measures how much growth students achieve in one year. Congratulations to all!

Ms. Vinci's art students
showed their creativity in art projects that have been placed in different areas of the building this year. Students in Ms. Vinci's classes and in her art club create works of art in drawing, painting, printmaking, pottery, jewelry making, and a variety of other art forms. Below is just a small sampling of the art work completed in just the last quarter of this year.
