Nonfiction/Autobiography
Plot:
This
book is about a girl in China.
The time frame is while she was
12-14 and when Mao Zedong was
leading China. The book is about
her family and friends' life
during this time.
good:
The pretty much only good part
of the book was the epilogue. A
reason for this was how she
wrote it. The epilogue spoke
about how she and everyone else
was "brainwashed". She saw how
corrupted the system really was.
weaknesses:
I feel, honestly, that this was
the worst book I have ever read.
It was very shallow. She was
very emotional and would cry at
the slightest thing. She was
very hardheaded and only did
what Mao ZeDong said. I
understand that a lot of things
happened to her, but she just
needed to get over it and move
on.
