Realistic Fiction

Plot:

In the book Catch That Pass there is a 14 year old boy named Jim.He loves to play football, but he is a little scared to catch the football when he goes to school or plays with his friends. They always make fun of him because he is scared to catch the football. They play 8 games before the championship game.Jim has only caught one ball and he got hit really hard.He says to his coach that he never wants to do that again. They make it to the championship game. The are tied with two minutes left to go. The ball is thrown to his receiver. Does he catch the ball and be a hero or does he get made fun of again?

good:

The text was good because it stays with one topic. It only went off of topic about 3 or 4 times. The characters don't really talk about football unless they are in a real game. The writer is technically in the story. He makes it sound like you are in the story.

weaknesses:

I think the biggest weakness is that he only talks about Jim. The other characters are his friends and I think he should talk about the other characters. He loses his idea.He talks about Jim then talks about something else.
