Fairview Middle such an

Teddy
Roosevelt once said, “There
is no greater prize life has
to offer than to work hard
at work worth doing.” For
the past seven years, I have
had the opportunity to serve
students, families, and
teachers as principal of
Fairview Middle School.
Living in this community for
seven years with my wife and
young son has led me to
become passionate about
ensuring that the young
people of Fairview are
equipped with the tools they
need for life long success.
At Fairview Middle School we
believe in the power of
relationships: becoming
personally invested in
success and development of
each of our students.
Although we have earned a
reputation of having
commendable achievement
data, we realize that
ultimately, success will be
not be measured by test
scores, but by each
student’s contribution to
society.
We want all
of our students to be fully
literate in reading and
writing, to have the ability
to apply what they are
learning to the real world
so they address real world
issues, and to integrate
relevant technology into
their daily lives. Students
should leave Fairview Middle
School not just
demonstrating a mastery of
the curriculum, but inspired
with a desire to continue to
learn and grow so that they
can make a difference in the
world and meet their
individual potential as
citizens.
Today’s
middle school must provide
students with a physically
and emotionally safe
environment. I am committed
to keeping Fairview Middle
School free from verbal and
physical violence, bullying,
and harassment of any sort.
Your support
as a parent or community
member is integral to our
success. Although many
middle school students may
say they don’t want their
parents hanging around, I
have personally seen that
most of our most successful
and well-adjusted students
have parents who remain
actively involved in their
children’s education and
personal lives during the
adolescent years. If you
are interested in
volunteering or becoming
involved in any way, please
call our PTO hotline at
472-4444. I maintain an
open door policy for
students, parents, teachers,
and community members to see
me whenever they have a
concerns or questions. I
can be reached by telephone
at (615)-472-4432 and by
email at
brianb@wcs.edu.
Respectfully,

A
Message From the Assistant Principal
I am excited about being a part of the Fairview
Middle School team. This is a great school with an outstanding
faculty and staff, and great group of students. My role is
support the students, faculty, parents, and Mr. Bass in any way that
I can.
I am a lifelong resident of Williamson County.
I have been a teacher, coach, and technology specialist at Franklin

degree is from the University of Tennessee in Mathematics, and my
master’s degree is from Tennessee State University in
