Plot:

This book is about a girl who finds a dog getting in trouble in the Winn-Dixie market, hints his name, and saves him from being sent to the pound. India takes him home to her trailer. Her dad is the preacher at the Pick it Quick church. She asked him if they could keep him and his answer was yes. So the story is about India Opal Buloni taking care of Winn-Dixie.

good:

This book is very adventurous. I love when Winn-Dixie jumps right into the preachers lap. This book is very funny and amusing. I think that they should make a squeal to this story.

weaknesses:

This book is a very entertaining story and I love how India falls in love with Winn-Dixie but the author could mention a little more about what India’s dad likes.
When Winn-Dixie is left alone he starts barking and howling. I love this story.
