Plot:

The Pearl is about a man named Kino. His son Coyotito gets stung by a scorpion. He does not have enough money for a doctor to treat him. Later on that day he goes pearl diving, and he finds the pearl of the world. The pearl ends up bringing bad luck upon Kino and his family. You will have to read the book to find out what happens next.

good:

I liked how the author gave good details in some parts of the book. It felt like I was part of the book. In many parts of the book, it was so interesting; I didn't want to stop reading.

weaknesses:

I didn't like how some parts of the book were meaningless. I just wanted to skip them. I would have also liked just a little more detail, then the book would have been perfect.
