Plot:

Three children are left as orphans when their parents die. They are placed with an evil man to care for them. Count Olaf is after the family's money and is trying to kill the children. The children are very smart and have special talents. They quickly learn Count Olaf's evil plans and get away. No one seems to believe them and they are placed with Count Olaf again. What will happen to these children?

good:

I like the way that Violet, the oldest child, invents ways out of the problems. She is clever, smart, and a good leader. Klaus, the middle child, is a very good reader and is always reading about ways to get out of Count Olaf's traps. The baby is Sunny. Even though she is small, she bites to solve the problems which helps Violet and Klaus.

weaknesses:

I really liked this book and the way the author kept me hanging. I like that it is a cliff hanger, making me want to read the next book in the series. I would like the book to have more pictures.
