Nonfiction/Biography
Plot:
This
story is about a young woman and
the brave heart to become one of
the fastest runners in America.
Wilma as a child was diagnosed
with Polio. She was not able to
run, so the doctor said. Wilma
persevered and she ran in
marathons.
good:
I like the text because she
persevered. She did not let
other's thoughts and actions
bring her down. She kept on
going.
That just goes to show that even
though you have a disability you
can do things too!
weaknesses:
I think that the weaknesses of
the text are that, the book is
short. I think that they should
have given more information in
the book. I think that I could
find another book that would
give me more info.
Ps. I think that it is cool
because Wilma was from
Tennessee!!
