Library Mission Statement:
To insure that students and staff are effective users of ideas
and information by providing access to a multitude of materials
in a variety of formats.
Goals:
- To provide intellectual access to information through
learning activities integrated into the curriculum.
- To provide physical access to information through a
well-organized collection of resources that cover a wide range of
subjects, difficulty levels and formats.
- To provide a learning environment that promotes literacy by
providing the materials for the instruction of the individual
student or groups of students.
- To provide resources and activities that contribute to life
long learning while allowing for a wide range of differences in
teaching and learning styles.
- To extend library services to all students, including those
with special needs.
- To provide leadership, collaboration and assistance to
teachers.
- To effectively manage the library media center as well as
monitor and supervise clerical staff and parent volunteers.
- To administer the budget accordingly to meet all
informational and instructional needs.
- To continue ongoing staff development to maintain
professional knowledge and skills.
- To have fun.
