Plot:
This book is about a young girl
named Alexa Daley who is trapped
within the walls of Lathbury. On
her annual summer trip to
Bridewell, another wall-enclosed
city, she finds unimaginable
adventure. She actually leaves
the walls of the city and
discovers secrets of the land
beyond the walls and learns the
truth of a story her father once
told her about convicts roaming
the outer lands.
good:
I really enjoyed this book,
because it had interesting
characters, for one thing. These
characters' jobs, personalities,
and names are all unique. There
is also an unexpected twist in
the end, (which I won't spoil
for you), which makes the story
very interesting. Finally, I
also enjoy this book because it
incorporates animals, which I
love, and actually have them
talk to Alexa, which would be so
awesome!
weaknesses:
Although I really enjoyed this
book, there were a couple of
defects within the text. For one
thing, this book was fairly
short, and I like books that can
keep me busy for a while. I also
don't like this book because
there are a few gross things
such as bleeding wounds in this
book, but hey, what can you do?
However, overall, I really
enjoyed this book.
