Fantasy

Plot:

Emily is a half mermaid/half human who finds a ring. This ring belongs to Neptune. The ring represents love between Neptune and a human. Because Emily found this ring Neptune is reminded of his broken heart and is angry. He puts a curse on Emily and she will soon either be a human or a mermaid, but not both. This means she will never be able to see either her mom or her dad again because of the curse.

good:

I really loved this book. It is filled with excitement and is like a fairy tale with an unexpected ending. I also like how Kessler made Emily's life not as perfect as she did in the first two books.

weaknesses:

I thought Kessler changed Neptune's character too much. Instead of being mean and fierce during the entire book, at the end he changes. I didn't like that one of my favorite characters was killed.
