The seventh grade teachers try to develop the students both academically and socially. Seventh grade is a time when students become much more active in many areas such as
cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, football, and wrestling. The seventh grade teachers want each student to enjoy school as much as possible while developing strong academic skills.

The seventh grade is divided into two teams. Each team is responsible  for language arts, social studies, math, and science. Seventh grade students also receive classes in Related Arts and participate in a focus time in which the teacher concentrates on an area in which the student may need extra help or additional challenges.

Seventh grade students are rewarded in many ways to encourage outstanding achievement, behavior, and attendance. For achievement
, students are rewarded with a recognition from France, a local business, and the school. For attendance, the students will receive school awards. The seventh grade students also participate in the county spelling bee and geography bee.

Eighth Grade

The eighth grade teachers strive to prepare students to meet the challenges of high school. The overall curriculum activities serve as a transition from a more elementary  approach to learning to a more subject oriented approach to learning that will be encountered in high school.

The eighth grade curriculum offers high school credit Algebra I, Physical Science, and Spanish I. The regular eighth grade curriculum includes Algebra I, volume I; American history; science; language arts; and reading.
