1st Trimester Essential Outcomes

  1. Explore Job opportunities available in the area of greenhouse management.
  2. Evaluate the local job opportunities in greenhouse management.
  3. Determine the skills necessary for success in the greenhouse industry.
  4. Evaluate the importance of greenhouse crop production to feeding a growing population.
  5. Discuss how the FFA has changed as agriculture has changed.
  6. Develop public speaking skills needed in the greenhouse industry.
  7. Conduct meetings use approved parliamentary law.
  8. Develop an SAEP, Supervised Agricultural Experience Program, for a greenhouse enterprise.
  9. Identify industrial safety standards in the greenhouse.
  10.   Evaluate the proper chemical/pesticide safety standards.
  11.   Assess the purpose of worker protection standards.
  12.  Compare the uses and types of chemicals used in greenhouse production.
  13.   Describe the major functions of growing media.
  14.   Analyze the attributes of growing media.
  15.   Determine the cost effectiveness of premix or personal mix.
