1st Trimester Essential Outcomes

1.
Improve cardiovascular, respiratory, and neuromuscular control.
2. Recognize and establish behavioral factors leading to the development of total fitness.
3. Participate in plyometric and agility type activities.
4. Participate in both aerobic and anaerobic activity.
5. Apply proper safety practices as related to physical activity.
6. Reinforce team sports as lifetime activities.
7. The student will exhibit a level of competency in lifting weights in a safely manner, advancing in strength throughout the year to improve overall general Health along with increasing performance in individual and/or team sports.
8. Participate in the following exercises and/or lifts but not limited to bench press, incline, squat, lunge, leg press, inverted rows, pull-ups, internal and external rotations, dips, variations of curls, triceps extension, lat pulls, plyometrics, cable crossover, butterfly press, push-ups, various abdominal crunches, knee extension, toe raises.
9. Demonstrate proper technique for lifting and spotting a partner during an exercise.
10. Exhibit a level of competency of muscles and the movements they perform.
