GES Computer Lab

Computer Lab Class Schedule Each class has a scheduled computer time during each rotation. There are also times available for teachers to sign up for their class to create and complete special projects in the lab.

The computer lab is equipped with 30 networked computers with internet capabilities. A scanner, color printer and two laser printers are available in the lab as well as an LCD projector and interactive SMART Board for instruction. Internet Explorer, Type to Learn, Kid Pix, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Accel, Accelerated Reader, Math Facts in a Flash, Accelerated Math, STAR Reading, STAR Math, on line encyclopedias, online databases, and many other resources are accessible on all machines.

Lab Activities The focus in the computer lab is to use the technology available to support the classroom curriculum. Software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, slide presentations, building web pages, on line databases etc. will be utilized as well as curriculum related software. Students will be working toward becoming proficient users of technology appropriate to his or her age.
