Welcome to Grassland Elementary School’s (GES) parent organization, Grassland School and Community Association, GSCA.  GSCA provides financial and volunteer support for many educational programs at GES, making a visible and significant difference in our children’s educational experience.

As GES parents, we know your interest in being involved in every aspect of your child’s education and welcome your participation at any time.  Should you have questions, comments or recommendations about GES or GSCA, please feel free to contact GSCA President Karen  Grove, or any of the GSCA Board Members listed below.

On behalf of the GSCA Board and our students, we look forward to a productive year and a  wonderful GES experience.  Your contribution to our school and volunteer efforts not only assists us in striving to meet our financial goals, but also creates a productive and wonderful school year for our children.  And most importantly, your support and involvement in GES and GSCA is greatly appreciated

The Grassland School and Community Association, GSCA, welcomes all parents to become involved as a volunteer in your child’s school programs and activities.  Many of these events would not be possible without the wonderful participation of our Grassland parents.  It is this parental investment that makes a truly visible difference in our children’s educational experience at GES.

More Information on Fundraising Opportunities

School Supplies

Teachers from each grade compile a list of school supplies needed by each student for the school year.  A $5 profit for GSCA is included in the price of the supplies.  All orders are placed in the spring and are available at the beginning of the next school year.  If you would like to purchase supplies independently, a list by grade is available in the office.

Invest in Your Child

Investing in GES makes a visible and long lasting difference in our children’s educational experience and school.  As our community association, GSCA is dedicated to finding the ways and means to fund many, if not most, of the volunteer run programs, events and educational enhancements for our children throughout the school year. 

Several years ago, by the request of the parents, GSCA eliminated all fund-raising activities and “Invest in Your Child” was developed to help meet our financial goals.  This is the only time throughout the year GSCA asks for a contribution.  We ask for a tax-deductible donation at a recommended amount of $100 per child attending.  With these monies, GSCA is able to continue its ongoing commitment to GES and reach our annual goal successfully.  A budget is available upon request at any time from the Board.
