CALENDAR of EVENTS

2007-2008

1.  ** Select football games and related performances to be played:               

a.  September 8 – 6:00 PM -  8^th grade only to play for Williamson County Band Exhibition @ Fairview High School

b.  September 27 – game time 6:00 PM – GMS vs. Freedom @    Freedom

c.  October 4 –game time 6:00 PM – GMS vs. HMS @ home

d.  October 19 – 8^th grade only to play at FHS home game.            

2.  Winter Concerts

a.  6^th grade – Monday Dec. 10, 7:00PM

b.  7^th and 8^th grades-Tuesday, Dec. 11 - 7:00 PM

c.  School concert for all grades – Tuesday, Dec.11

3.  **All-Middle Tennessee Clinic Band Auditions (optional) – December 8 at McGavock High School (deadline for entry is Nov. 8).  If student is selected, he/she will attend the clinic weekend (Jan. 10 - 12) at MTSU and Siegel High School.

4.  Solo and Ensemble Festival (optional) – April 12 at Croft Middle School (deadline for entry is March 12).

5.  **Concert and Sight-reading Festival – March 11 - 13

    (Each band will only perform on one of the above dates.)             

6.  Spring Concerts

a.  6^th grade-Monday, April 7 – 7:00 PM                      

b.  7^th  and 8^th grades – Tuesday, April 8, 7:00 PM

c.  School concert for all grades –Tuesday, April 8

7.  **8^th grade Spring Trip to Cincinnati – April 25 and 26, 2008

8.  **Franklin Rodeo Parade – Saturday, May 10^th – report to parade site at 11:00 AM.

9.  Fifth grade orientation concerts- TBA (sometime in April or May)

**Starred items do not apply to the 6^th grade.
