Vacation Spots

I have gone to quite a few places in the United States, but I've never been out of the country. I have been to places like Yellowstone National Park (and many places inbetween), Smokey Mountains, and different beaches.

When I was little, my family and I drove all the way to Yellowstone. On the way we stopped at places like the St. Louis Arch, Mt. Rushmore, and many other smaller places. We drove there in a big van, so we were pretty comfortable because we had lots of space to roam around in if we needed to; being comfortable with 6 people in one van was very important.

I've also gone to the Great Smokey Mountains. All through my life I have made trips to the Smokey Mts. Whether it was with my family or friends, for church meetings or just to go camping. Somehow we find a reason to go every couple of years.

One of my favorite places to go is the beach. My favorite beaches are Pensacola, Destin, and Gulf Shores. I just love the white sands of those beaches compared to the brown sands in places like North Carolina. Also, I absolutely love the blue waters. Of course, it's always fun to go to the beach to get a great tan, and build sand castles, and go shopping at the boardwalks. The rides to all these places are sort of a tradition, because my family drives everywhere, and literally I mean everywhere. We drove to Yellowstone, and we always drive to the Smokey Mts. and of course the beach. I've never gone anywhere on a plane, we've always just driven. Those are mainly my favorite places for vacations.

Summer

My summers are always loaded with fun. I start off my summer by having a dance recital. Then I'm off to Texas for a week for a church camp, then over to Alabama for another church camp. That's pretty much my whole schedule for the week of June, with some days in between those weeks of camp to rest. In July I get to spend my summer with my cousins (they also go to the camps with me) and I get to go to shopping with them, and go to the lake; I get to go on trips with them and just have so much fun. I've made so many good memories in the past summers and definatly many more to come!
