Miscellaneous News

Attention Parents: Due to the recent number of tragedies in schools across the U.S, our school system has asked us to keep all of our doors locked at all times. This means visitors will have to use the buzzer on the front door in order to be admitted to the building No one will be allowed to enter the building during the school day by any door except the one in front of the office. We will continue to try to provide the safest environment possible for GMS students. Susanc1@wcs.edu

In an effort to improve and expand communications between Williamson County Schools and our parents and community, WCS sends out an email news brief twice monthly. This email is designed to share important school district news in a brief format with a link to more in-depth information about the topic and pictures or supporting data. We showcase our students, teachers, staff and schools. You can sign up for this email news brief by going to www.wcs.edu  The news brief is called In Focus. Susanc1@wcs.edu

Attention Parents of Car Riders: If you drop off your child in the morning and you are first in line, please pull to the RED LINE before letting them out of your vehicle.  If you are not first, please pull as close as sensible to the vehicle in front of you. The line will move faster and be appreciated by all J

Parents: When you enter the school building, please report directly to the front office and let someone there know the nature of your visit to the school. Please do not go directly to a classroom without first checking in at the front office. Thanks susanc1@wcs.edu

GMS Parents: There is a newly established "electronic suggestion box" for GMS.  Parents may email their ideas and suggestions to generalsuggestions@hotmail.com. The GMS Administration, as well as the GMS Parents’ Club values your input.  This program is being pilot tested through this first semester

Attention Students: We began the policy last year of only delivering items that were brought from home during lunch and at the end of the day. If you have a project due, you must bring it to school with you. If you need your notebook, bring it with you. We will not interrupt classes to deliver items or to give you a message unless it is an emergency. Please talk with your parents about this. Susanc1@wcs.edu

Attention Parents:  Students are not allowed to use school property for skateboarding even when school is not in session. Please do not come on the property of Grassland Middle School with that activity in mind. Further violations of this policy will be subject to police intervention. Thank you. Susanc1@wcs.edu
