Philosophy
The library at Hunters Bend Elementary is the hub of the school.
We believe that learning to use library resources is an integral part
of each child's education.  We also believe that developing a love
of reading will better insure success for the students.
The library is open daily from 8:30-3:45 when school is in  session.
Students may borrow and return books at any time  during the school day
with permission from the  teacher.

Class Visits

All classes have  a  scheduled time to visit the library each week.
Students in grades 1-5
come to the library for 45 minute classes
in which we have story time and learn library
and research skills.
Kindergarten students visit for story time and check out twice

weekly for 20 minutes each.
See the 2006-2007 schedule here.

Check Out Policies
Books are checked out for one week at a time.  Students may renew
a book two additional
times before the book is returned for others to
enjoy.   There is no fine for overdue
books.  Books that have not surfaced
in 30 days are presumed lost.  An overdue bill with the cost
of
replacing the book will be sent home.
