Our Beliefs

  • Teachers, students, and families are partners preparing and investing in the future.

  • The learning community equips every student with skills necessary to become life long learners.

Williamson County Beliefs

  • The primary customers of school are the individual students.  Students are volunteers.  They volunteer their attention and commitment.

  • All teachers must become designers of work and leaders of students, causing each student to engage in and produce high-quality work.

  • All principals are "leaders of leaders" who must ensure that teachers have the ability, flexibility, resources and support required to design engaging, high-quality work for each student.

  • All district office and other support personnel must serve as capacity builders whose primary focus is to support the work of principals and teachers.

  • The superintendent as "the" leader must insure that the entire community comes to understand the emerging and changing needs of individual students and the kinds of support needed if students are to commit to and produce high-quality work.

  • The board is a policy making entity whose role is to support the efforts of the district as a whole to accomplish the organization's mission.

  • In order to create high-quality work for each student, all personnel, to include the board, must engage in continuous growth opportunities.

  • Assessments must inform instruction and all decisions.
