Writing Suggestions

  • What do you think was the author's purpose in writing this book?  Share your thoughts about what the author was trying to say to his/her readers with this book.
  • Authors do many things to make their characters interesting to readers.  How did the author make the main characters in this book interesting?
  • How did the author make you interested in the story?  How did the author KEEP you interested in the story?
  • Does any part of this book remind you of yourself or someone you know?
  • Write about something that you learned about yourself, your life, your friend, your family or the world from reading this book.
  • Draw a scene from the story and write what is happening in the scene.
  • Write a letter to the author or a character in the story.
  • If you enjoyed this book, write about it to someone and try to persuade them to read it!
