A note from Dr. Sharber:

Parents and community members are invited to attend a community input session regarding the services the school district provides students with disabilities. Sessions will be held across the county, and the session for our school is scheduled for Thursday, October 2 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Independence High School library. After a brief meeting in the library, participants will be divided into small groups and will work with a facilitator to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of, and opportunities and threats for, serving students with disabilities in our school district. The information from the small groups will then be compiled and shared with the School Board at its November meeting. If you have any questions, please contact Student Support Services at 472-4130.
