Welcome to the Hillsboro Library/Media Center!
The Hillsboro Library/Media Center is a place in which students can explore new worlds through any of the thousands of fiction titles, use print and online resources to expand their minds through research, work toward reading goals using the Accelerated Reader system, and more! Our primary goal for every student, kindergarten through 8th grade, is for them to develop a love for reading. Further, we empower students to become independent and life-long library users. We know that students are the ones who keep our library energized! As such, students are invited to recommend titles for future purchase, ask for recommendations, and visit the library during lunch, homeroom, and before and after school.
When Can My Student Go to the Library?
– All classes have a scheduled time that they visit the library each week.
– In addition, the library is open for “Extra Magic Hours” directly before and after school. Students may come to the library before school from 7:45 AM-8:15 AM and after school from 3:15 PM-3:30 PM.
– Students may also visit the library during lunch and throughout the school day with a teacher’s permission.
*Reminder: Students must have their library folders (elementary) or agenda (middle school) in order to check a book out!
