Welcome to a new
school year at Heritage Elementary. We are looking
forward to a wonderful year.
This is my 40th year of
teaching. I received my undergraduate degree from
Pfeiffer College (now University) in North
Carolina and my Masters degree in Early Childhood
Education from the University of North Carolina
Charlotte. This is my 11th year
teaching 1st grade at Heritage Elementary
School. I also taught 1st grade or
Kindergarten in North Carolina and Florida. I was
a K-3 consulting teacher for 11 years in Florida.
My
husband Barry and I have lived in Franklin for 15
years. We have 2 children. Chris lives with her
husband, Greg, and 3 daughters (Jordan, 13; Remy, 12;
Camryn, 10) in Knoxville. Our son, Matthew, lives
with his wife, Tina, and son, Dayne, 10, in Nashville.
We also have 2 dogs, Montana and Patches, and 2 cats,
Calie and Fergie.
My goal is
that all children will love school and develop a love of
reading that will last them a lifetime. I am
looking forward to getting to know my parents and
students. We are going to have an exciting and fun
filled year.
