Hello Heritage Families!

I am so excited to begin my fourth year at Heritage! I have taught third grade for two years and this will be my second year in first grade. This is my 24^th year of teaching….geez I am getting old!  I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science degree and a Reading specialization. I have taught K-3^rd and have also run a reading tutorial program for grades 1-5 for 9 years and worked with dyslexic students.

My family moved here from Texas three years ago where I had lived for 28 years! It was a BIG change, but we LOVE it here! I was actually born in Nashville and my parents still live here in Hermitage! I am the proud mother of four beautiful children. My oldest is exploring new adventures in California, my second daughter is newly married and still in Texas and my two youngest will both be together at Heritage Middle this year.  And how could I forget my baby, our yellow lab, Keeko!

I am thrilled to be a part of the Heritage family, as I firmly believe we have an awesome community full of dedicated professionals, supportive parents and fabulous students!
