Welcome to another awesome school year at Heritage Elementary.  I am so excited to be teaching second grade again and I am looking forward to a fun and wonderful year.

I grew up in Highland, Indiana, which is only about thirty minutes outside of Chicago.  I attended Indiana University and graduated with a business degree.  I quickly found out that the business world was not for me and my heart lead me to teaching.  I received an Elementary Certification from IUN.  I have taught in Indiana and Mississippi.  I came to Heritage in 2005 as a part-time Academic Specialist.  The following year I transitioned into a second grade position.

I have lived in Thompson’s Station for nine years with my husband Jim and my two wonderful children Emily and John.  Emily will be a seventh grader at Heritage Middle.  She loves to sew and play PC games.  John will be in fifth grade at Heritage and he is into skateboarding (just like his dad).

I cannot truly express how thrilled I am to be a part of your children’s lives.  I am looking forward to creating a loving and safe learning environment for them.  We are going to have a fantastic year!
