Hello
Students and Parents! I am so excited to be a part
of the Heritage community! I thought you might want to
know a little about me... so here it goes!
I graduated
from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor's
Degree. My degree of study was Early Childhood Education
which includes kindergarten through ninth grade. This is
my twenty-first year of teaching! My first year of
teaching was in Kindergarten at Bethesda – in the
basement of the old Bethesda School. I’ve
also taught first grade and sixth grade. (That was
my mid-life crisis! I’m not really meant to teach
middle school.) This year is my 17th year
teaching second grade! Along with Bethesda, I have
taught at Page Middle, Oak View, Winstead, and I’ve been
at Heritage for 6 years. I am so very excited to be
teaching second grade at Heritage again this year!
I live just south of Franklin with my
husband Lee, three dogs, and two cats. Our son
Noah and his wife live in Brooklyn, NY. Our
daughter Stefani, her husband, and their 2 1/2 year old
daughter Hannah live in Columbia, TN. Hannah is
the absolute joy of my life, and you’ll see many
pictures of her in the classroom. I look forward to
getting to know you and your children!
