My name is Heather Weaver and I am so excited to be part of such a fantastic first grade team! Heritage Elementary was my first choice of schools to teach at and I am so happy to be here!

I was born and raised in a small town in Georgia called Juliette. You may remember the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes." That’s Juliette! I’m a down home girl at heart and wouldn’t pass up vegetable soup if you paid me. I flew on an airplane for the first time this Summer. Justin and I also took our kids to beach for the first time. It was so much fun! I can't wait to tell my new students about it!

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia. I also have a Gifted Endorsement from the State of Tennessee. I have taught first grade for seven years and feel the first grade year is a year of growth, socially and academically, like no other. I love it!

My husband, Justin and I moved to Nashville in 2002 in hopes of finding success in the music business. We have been blessed with two beautiful children, Andie (3) and Waylon (2).

I am looking forward to this school year and can’t wait to begin a new journey!
