To
be considered for a classified
or support position, you must
meet the minimum qualifications
for the position you are seeking
and have completed our on-line
application. Most vacancy
announcements will be supported
by a job description which
describes the qualifications.
Since the hiring rate is
determined by education beyond
high school and verifiable
full-time work experience, you
should include transcripts and
will need to have your previous
employers verify your length of
employment with them on our
forms.
All applications must be
complete with all applicable
blanks completed. A resume
is not a substitute for the
application, but may be attached
to your file. When
selecting “Position Desired”
check only those boxes in which
you are currently certified or
are eligible to receive an
alternative license. Read
and answer carefully the
questions in each section of the
application. Selecting the
Acknowledgment check box at the
end of the application will
suffice as a signature.
If
you hold a Tennessee teaching
license, please attach a copy to
your application. You may
scan this in and transmit with
your application. If you
do not hold a Tennessee teaching
license, you must meet
eligibility requirements for an
alternative certificate in the
area you wish to teach.
Please go to
www.state.tn.us/education/lic.
to see if you meet the
eligibility requirements. You
must also send us copies of all
your college transcripts. You
may send copies as downloaded
attachments to your application.
You may also mail transcripts to
us directly. Official
copies of your transcripts and
the superintendent’s copy of the
license will be required at the
time of hire.
The “Addendum” section at the
end of the application must be
completed to fulfill the
requirements of the State of
Tennessee to check criminal
history records on applicants
being considered for employment.
Should there be a vacancy in
your field, administrators will
contact the most qualified
applicants on file for
interviews. Please
continue to check our website
for an updated list of
vacancies.
Your application will be active
for only one calendar year from
the date of the application.
At the end of that time, you
will need to reapply on-line if
you have a continued interest in
positions with Williamson County
Schools.

employment opportunity employer.
