Independence pitcher and Recent Lee University signee Rob Rowland allowed only one hit in the Eagles 10-0 smashing victory over Antioch in the opening round of regional action Monday night. Independence blasted five runs in the second to take command of the game then add one more in the third, three in the fourth and one more run in the fifth to give them the 10-0 win.

The Eagles will host a second round regional game again this Wednesday night at 6:30pm. The Eagles will battle a familiar foe in district power and rival Overton High School.
