There would be no fooling around today by either Franklin Rebels or Independence on this April 1st day. Independence took the early lead by scoring a run in the first. However, Franklin showed why they have been a dominant baseball power the past few years, the Rebels pounded out five runs in the bottom of the second to take a commanding 5-1 lead. They would add two more runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.
