The Eagles baseball team is flying high as of late and today's game showed just why these Eagles are considered one of the better teams around the middle Tennessee area. Four runs in the first and that is really all the Eagles would need as the Indy pitching shut down Oakland's offense and only sacrificed six hits throughout the game. However, the Eagles offensive production was not done. Seven more runs in the third, two runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth and the Independence slugfest of sixteen runs stopped the game after just five innings. Jimmy Mahan, Josh Lee and Matt Daffin all took rides on the long ball trip as the trio each blasted homeruns in the game.
