Thompson’s Station:
Clint Jezierny has been named Head Softball Coach at
Independence High School. Jezierny was the interim
coach for the 2009 season and let the team to a 12-9
overall record and a third place finish in the District
11-AAA tournament. Prior to this season Jezierny was
the assistant women’s basketball coach, but will
relinquish his duties to focus on his softball program.
Jezierny’s softball background includes three years as
an assistant coach at Coffee County Central High School
where the team reached the TSSAA 3-A state tournament
twice, finishing 4th and 3rd
respectively. Jezierny is a native of Stratford
Connecticut, where he worked at Raybestos Memorial
Field, home of the world famous amateur softball team,
the Brackettes where he was able to watch and work with
many college All-Americans, US Olympians, and ASA Hall
of Fame Players. Jezierny is a graduate of Eastern
Kentucky University where he obtained his Bachelor’s of
Arts degree in History, and a graduate of Tennessee Tech
University with a Master’s of Arts in Instructional
Leadership.
