Girls Tennis defeated Overton with a
score of 9-0. The victory gives the Independence Girls
Tennis team their best start to a season in school
history with an overall record of 6-2. They went into
Overton yesterday without the Eagles' number 1 girl,
Brooke Young, and won every match on the day.

had won the match so some of the players who normally
don’t get to play in varsity action played yesterday.

Heather’s 2nd varsity win and Jelena and
Allie’s first varsity win as freshman. "They have come a
