A very good
weekend for track at the 15 team sub-sectional meet.
Independence qualified a strong group for the sectional
finals next Friday where they shall see how many of them
make it all the way to the state finals. Independence did
brake 7 school records in a 24 hour period, including 3 of
our 8 relay records.
Also, to answer some questions, Kathy Kroeger has indeed
suffered a season ending injury. She is very disappointed
and has worked very hard to defend her state titles, but
some things are beyond control and this is one of those
situations. Almost beyond belief, she finishes her four year
high school career having NEVER lost to a single girl in
Tennessee at the mile, two mile or 5k. "It hasn't hit me yet
that she's put the Indy uniform on for the last time...an
incredible era is coming to a close here" Coach Finley.
